The K.Y. Lo Medal is awarded  to a member of the EIC who has made significant engineering contributions at the international level.  Such contributions may include: 

· promotion  of Canadian expertise overseas;
· training of foreign engineers;
· significant service to international engineering organizations;
· advancement of engineering technology recognized internationally

Établie en 1997 par un groupe d’anciens élèves du professeur K.Y. Lo, University of Western Ontario. Cette médaille est décernée en son honneur pour rendre hommage à un ingénieur qui s’est distingué par des réalisations importantes en génie au niveau international.

Une médaille est décernée tous les ans.
