Become a Provider: The Engineering Institute of Canada

EIC’s Continuing Education Program is supported by The Canadian Council of Professional Engineers, The Association of Consulting Engineers of Canada, and The Canadian Academy for Engineering. EIC is a member of the International Association for Continuing Education and Training, with headquarters in Washington, DC.

Providers recognized by the EIC are responsible for the development and delivery of high quality learning activities, complying with
EIC Program Standards.

Providers of programs of continuing education may join the EIC program as Participating Partners by contacting the EIC at info@eic-ici.ca.

A Power point presentation explaining the program can be downloaded.

Single event providers may apply for permission to award EIC CEUs for their event by completing an application form.

Participants in these professional development activities earn "EIC CEU's".

Information on courses that earn CEU's is available directly from the recognized providers by clicking on the logos that are presented below. This list includes links to technical society members of the EIC that engage in learning activities in compliance with EIC standards.

Single Event Providers

Course providers not partnered with EIC may apply to have a single event approved for Continuing Education Units (CEUs) by submitting the CEU Course Approval Form. Approval of a single event by the EIC permits the use of the EIC logo, registry and course certificates.

To make an application complete the CEU Approval Application Form , save it to your disc and attach it to info@eic-ici.ca

EIC standards for continuing education include both process and technical content considerations. The EIC’s member societies provide the technical expertise for verifying the qualifications of the instructors and the technical content of a learning activity.

The EIC administers a Course Participant Survey to randomly selected participants of completed continuing education programs. The results of these surveys are confidential and are shared with the provider.
